How LilyhanaByJ Began

Hi, I'm Jen. After becoming a mum, I felt lost and scared about returning to the workforce.
Between sleepless nights, endless nappy changes, and the uncertainty of new motherhood, I struggled with anxiety and depression.

Sewing became my therapy — something that gave me focus, peace, and a sense of purpose.
Every stitch made me feel a little stronger, and knowing that what I created could be useful and meaningful made me feel worthy again.

I started sewing clothes for my daughter, and soon the kind words and compliments from friends turned into requests to buy my creations. After years of hesitation, I finally found the courage to share my work — and LilyhanaByJ was born.


The name is inspired by my daughter, who continues to be the light behind everything I make. 🌸

Growing with Purpose

I began by making baby bibs and children’s clothing, focusing on comfort, softness, and timeless charm. But my story — and my purpose — grew deeper.

My grandmother raised me when my parents were busy working, and in her later years, my father lovingly cared for her at home. Watching her struggle to eat and seeing how hard it was for him to clean up afterwards reminded me of the bibs I used for my daughter during mealtime. That simple thought — to make something similar but bigger — led me to design adult bibs for seniors and people with special needs.
It was my way of helping families and carers, combining practicality with dignity and love.
